Terms and Conditions

Borderless Visit is a service provided by BORDERLESS HOUSE Corporation, a company incorporated in Japan and based in Taito-Ku, Tokyo.

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all guests (“you” or “your”) participating in Borderless Visit programs (“Borderless Visit”, “Borderless Visits” or “Programs”). By clicking “Agree to terms and conditions,” you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.

Basic Terms

Guests under 21 must be accompanied by a supervising adult over 21 years of age to participate in all Borderless Visit programs.

Borderless Visit meals

The Borderless Visit team and the hosts take great precaution when it comes to food safety but please be aware that the host nor the program will take any responsibility for incidences of food poisoning or any other illness.
The Borderless Visit team and the hosts cannot guarantee the absence of specific allergens in the program's menus or promise to fully accommodate various dietary restrictions.

Late arrivals and Cancellations

Assume that all members of Borderless Visit community (including the Borderless Visit Team, hosts, guests, and supporters) are involved in all Borderless Visit programs to connect with one another in a meaningful way both online and offline. Be considerate and avoid cancellations and arrive on time.

You will pay 50% of the Program price for any cancellations made by you between 2 and 7 days before your booked Borderless Visit. Should you cancel in the last 48 hours before your booked Borderless Visit you will be charged the full Program price. You will receive a full refund for any Borderless Visit programs if cancellations are made by you 8 days before your booked Borderless Visit date. However if payments are made through PayPal, due to PayPal's policy, you will be responsible for the original transaction fee for receiving payment and transaction fees required to send the refund via PayPal for any Borderless Visit programs canceled by you 50 days after payment. A full refund will be given irrespective of the time of the cancellation if cancellations are made by the host.

If you do not show up on time at the meeting point indicated in the email sent to you after you have made a booking, you will be considered as a “no-show” and no refund can be claimed. We will gladly allow you to change meeting time and point but once you choose to make these changes it is the responsibility of the participants to arrive at the correct location at the scheduled time. We at Borderless Visit cannot be held responsible and you shall not be entitled to any refund.

Borderless Visit's are rarely canceled because of inclement weather. Guests are advised to use their judgement as to whether travel to the host's home may be difficult or unsafe and consult with the host or the Borderless Visit Team. In this rare instance, we will help to reschedule or if necessary give a full refund.

Limitation of Liability

We at Borderless Visit assume no responsibility for the actions of hosts, guests, and other users through any Borderless Visit programs or the Borderless Visit website or as a result of their use of Borderless Visit programs or website. Guests, hosts, individuals and families alike, must agree that you are at your own risk when participating in the Borderless Visit programs and that you should use your best judgement at all times.

Waiver of rights

You agree that photos taken during all Borderless Visit programs may be used for promotional purposes for the Borderless Visit program. Should you wish to not have your photograph taken or used, you must make it clear to the Borderless Visit team.

Prohibited practices

Contacting hosts before booking on Borderless Visit via a non-Borderless Visit communications services.
Impersonate any person or entity, whether actual or fictitious, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity, including without limitation, anyone from the Borderless Visit programs or website.
Use any part of Borderless Visit website or programs for any commercial or other purposes that are not expressly permitted by these Terms and Conditions or in a manner that falsely implies Borderless Visit endorsement, partnership or otherwise misleads others as to your affiliation with Borderless Visit or any of its users or partners.
Harvest or collect email addresses or other contact information of other users from the Borderless Visit website or programs by electronic or other means for the purposes of sending unsolicited emails or other unsolicited communications.
Contact any member of the Borderless Visit community for any purpose other than asking a question related to a booking or such member's use of the Borderless Visit website or program, including, but not limited to, recruiting or otherwise soliciting any Borderless Visit users to join third-party services, applications or websites, without our prior written approval.
Guests must not give, receive any money, bribe, commercial dealing, spam or solicitations or do any illegal activities before, during, or after any Borderless Visit Program.
Guests must not do any discrimination or harassment in the conduct of Borderless Visit programs.
Guests must not post any content that is harmful or invasive of another's privacy including Hosts, Guests, or Borderless Visit team, including but not limited to distributing another person's personal information or images of any kind without their express permission.
Guests must not damage, disable or disrupt the Borderless Visit program by any means.
Borderless Visit has the right to edit, remove, or delete any content that violates these Terms hereto or is otherwise objectionable in our sole discretion.
